All’interno del panorama scientifico legato alla progettazione per l’infanzia occupa certamente un ruolo molto importante l’attenzione per lo sviluppo delle competenze socio-emotive nei bambini in età prescolare (fascia 0-6): competenze che si apprendono all’interno del contesto familiare e della scuola dell’infanzia, il cui sviluppo risulta correlato negativamente alla presenza di aggressività nei minori.
Alla base di comportamenti scorretti e aggressivi, come il bullismo, spesso infatti si rileva una ridotta abilità di decentrarsi emotivamente dai propri vissuti e comprendere stati emotivi altrui.
Tale competenza, che rientra a pieno titolo fra le abilità socio-emotive, viene identificata con la nomenclatura di “Perspective Taking emotivo” ed è alla base di molti comportamenti sociali di bambini e adulti. Diversi studi dimostrano che elevate abilità di Perspective Taking emotivo siano correlate positivamente a condotte socialmente adeguate, accettabili ed empatiche. Inoltre sono molte le esperienze scientifiche che hanno comprovato la possibilità di aumentare tali competenze nei bambini attraverso protocolli di intervento applicati proprio all’interno della scuola per l’infanzia.
Da molti anni il dibattito rispetto alle condotte aggressive dei minori si è circoscritto rispetto ai fenomeni del bullismo e delle possibili linee guida che possano ridurre e arginare tale fenomeno attraverso interventi mirati alla gestione della situazione, con particolare attenzione alla scuola secondaria.
La discussione tuttavia si può volgere rispetto alle possibilità di protocolli di prevenzione al bullismo,che tengano conto delle teorie socio-emotive sopra citate e che possano essere integrate all’interno della Progettazione didattica ed educativa dei servizi per l’infanzia al fine di arginare le condotte aggressive presenti e soprattutto prevenire quelle future.
